One! Nicole is now OFFICIALLY
the top rider in the World.
For the first time Nicole has risen to No. 1 in the UCI
World rankings.
After her recent successes she now has 955 points, 19 more
than Susanne Ljunskog who drops to second. Edita Pucinskaite
in third has 689. |

Nicole's Team Univega-Raleigh-Lifeforce
won the Women's
Golden Hour in Denmark. It was a Team Time Trial and
was round 9 of the World Cup Series.
With T-Mobile finishing fifth Nicole's overall World Cup
lead is now up to 118 points with three races to go.

Nicole finished second
in the Open
de Suède Vargarda, extending her World Cup lead
to 99 after her main rivals missed out on points.
Local favourite Suzanne Ljunskog won after sitting on in
a two up break with Nicole. Round 9 of the World Cup is
a Team Time Trial in Denmark on Sunday. |

Nicole wrapped up victory
in the Thuringen
Rundfahrt by winning the final hilly stage, her fourth
individual stage success of the 6 day race in Germany.
She also won both Saturday stages ( the morning Time Trial
and afternoon circuit race) as well as stage 2 of the high
ranked UCI 2.1 category event. |

Nicole won La
Grande Boucle Féminine Internationale in France,
having lead from start to finish.
She won two stages; breaking away on Mont Ventoux to win
stage 4 by over 4 minutes, having also won the opening day
short time trial.
