Nicole won La Grande Boucle Féminine Internationale in France, having lead from start to finish.

She won two stages; breaking away on Mont Ventoux to win stage 4 by over 4 minutes, having also won the opening day short time trial.

For the 7th time in 8 years Nicole has earned the right to wear the British Champion's jersey. She won the 2006 Road Race in Yorkshire with a solo finish and a margin of 25 seconds.

Nicole won the best young rider competition (U23) at the Giro del Trentino. After a third place on the first stage she finished fourth overall in the 3 day event tackling the demanding Dolomite climbs of Northern Italy.
