"We've had a few hilly courses in recent years, and this was flatter so it was harder to predict how it might finish. I had a plan for if the race ended in a sprint, you always have to have a few different strategies."

"It's always nice to win solo though, obviously it removes the threats from an awkward group finish, but it also means you can celebrate properly!"
