| An incredibly wet opening
day to the Holland Ladies Tour for the 158 strong field.
Nicole finished comfortably with a lead group of 56
after leading out team mate Joane Kiesanowski (4th)
in the sprint won by World Champion Regina Schleicher. |

Another wet day and Nicole
withdrew from the race after a heavy fall.
A Dutch rider wiped out on a downhill corner in front
of Nicole, sending her sliding across the wet surface.
In addition to bruising and cuts on her right side Nicole
also hit her head hard causing her helmet to break.
The severity of the fall also damaged her bike.
After immediate treatment for the damage she'll spend
the remainder of the week preparing for Sunday's World
Cup race. |
