A day when Nicole was happy
to sit in the bunch whilst Univega Raleigh Lifeforce
teammate Emma Rickards went up the road in a group that
was no threat to the overall lead.
The only bad news for Univega Raleigh Lifeforce
was the withdrawal of Joanne Kiesanowski after a heavy
crash. |

A major step towards overall
victory for Nicole finishing 26" ahead of previous
second placed rider Zoulfia Zabirova (the former World
and Olympic Time Trial Champion).
Christiane Soeder moved into second place overall finishing
second behind Nicole by just 1". However there's
a second stage later on Saturday, and some tough climbs
on the final day tomorrow so Univega Raleigh
Lifeforce will be taken nothing for granted
just yet. |
