Nicole started last today in the 20km Magali
Pache TT as defending champion after winning the event in
2006. Nicole started well using the first flat sections and
fast descents to close up on Oenone Wood who started 1 minute
infront of Nicole.
With 5km to go Nicole passed Wood but was not able to keep
the same pace and as Nicole approached the finish line Wood
and Cooke finished side by side. This gave Nicole 4th place
behind World Champion Kristen Armstrong who rode very strongly
to win the event despite a fall on one of the tight corners
near the end of the course.

Christiane Soeder and Karin Thürig were 2nd and 3rd
