The swiss round of the World Cup provided the Raleigh Lifeforce Creation HB team an opportunity to ride on home ground and with a supporting race earlier in the morning it gave all the riders a chance to race and Tanja Slater rode very well to finish 3rd.

The race got underway with some early attacks but there was always an active chase from the peleton and as the race went into the final lap it seemed that the final climb 10km from the finish would again be decisive.

Nicole crested the climb with a lead group of 7 riders, Cooke, Vos (DSB), Wood (Tmobile), Pucinskaite, Graus and Hausler (all Nuerenberg) and Pittel (Unica). There were a number of attacks until Pucinskaite escaped solo with about 6km to go. Although riders contributed to a chase Pucinskaite was strong enough to stay clear and take the win while Nicole sprinted in to take 4th place behind Vos and Wood.

This result keeps Nicole at the top of the World Cup leader standing with 251 points.
