Nicole is already planning to regain her World Champion's Rainbow jersey in Geelong Australia next year having been unable to become the fifth woman to succesfully defend the title in Mendrisio.
"I tried my best but I knew on the first climb that I didn't have the form to challenge in the race" said Nicole after withdrawing on lap five of nine. Italian rider Tatiana Guderzo succeeds Nicole as the rider entitled to wear the rainbow jersey in 2010. |
